If using a whole cabbage, cut into semi-large pieces and pulse in food processor until shredded. If using pre-shredded cabbage, pulse in food processor just a couple times to make the shreds into smaller pieces.
Heat ghee or butter in a skillet until melted and hot. Add all ingredients to the pan and stir until cabbage rice is well coated.
Cover man and let it simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.
Stir cabbage. It should be nice and tender at this point. If it is not, allow it to cook uncovered another few minutes.
